Frequently Asked Questions
Who funds our reunion? We all do! Currently, there are no funds allocated to host our event, so we will be relying on crowdfunding. The ticket prices will include the venue fee, taxes, tips for the venue staff, and any necessary deposits. It’s important to note that these deposits must be paid before signing any contracts. Additionally, any additional add-ons such as photographers, DJs, or photo booths will also be factored into the ticket prices.
When it comes to decision-making, we value input from everyone. We will provide polls and suggestion boxes for the class to participate in. We will also hold Party Planning Meetings where we can discuss various aspects of the event via Zoom. Examples of decisions to be made include whether to have a cash bar or an open bar, and whether to offer appetizers, a buffet-style meal, or a sit-down dinner. The ticket prices will ultimately depend on the final decisions and the majority preferences of the class. We strongly encourage everyone to participate in these decisions!
Now, why can’t we simply gather at a venue or park without any costs involved? As much as we would love to host a free event for everyone, it’s not feasible. A well-organized event requires thorough planning, including considerations for food, location, date, and time, all of which incur expenses. We are not discouraging anyone from planning their own free event, but it will not be considered the OFFICIAL REUNION. However, if someone organizes a gathering of significant magnitude, we can certainly acknowledge and announce it.
Please note that the OFFICIAL REUNION will be a ticketed event. By purchasing tickets, you will contribute to the overall success and quality of the event.
August 30 2014 - 10 year Reunion

LOCATION: SHERATON AIRPORT
TIME: 8pm-12am
PRICE: $80.00
Buffet Style Meal
Open Bar 8-11pm, Cash bar 11pm-12am
How were funds collected? We collected funds using PayPal Payments. The ticket price included the PayPal fee to ensure seamless transactions.
Was there a contract? Yes, a contract was signed several months in advance to secure the date for the event. A deposit was made even before we started collecting funds, with a minimum requirement of 70 attendees. However, since we received confirmations from 100 people who would be attending, the contract was signed, and the deposit was paid upfront.
Moving forward, we have decided not to follow the same approach. Deposits are generally non-refundable in most contracts, and it wouldn’t be fair to those who paid upfront if the event is canceled (by us) or if people fail to purchase tickets on time.
